Lina has become the face of her family’s global campaign to demand accountability and was recently named one of Time Magazine’s 100 emerging leaders for 2022 who are shaping the future and defining the next generation of leadership.
We discuss Shireen Abu Akleh's murder, updates into the investigation into her killing, Israel's targetting and killing of more than 30 journalists in the occupied territories, since 2020. We discuss in depth accountability for Shireen murder including the recent Al Jazeera newschannels submission to the ICC to open an investigation into her killing and the FBI opening an investigation into her killing, as a US citizen.
Lina shares details on Shireen as an aunt, and her legacy as an iconic journalist, reverred by millions of viewers as she shed the lens on the lives of ordinary Palestinians, and their struggles living under an illegal and oppressive occupation.
