Ep.110 The Mikuni Pass in Daisetsuzan National Park Pt.1
Description
At 1,139m the Mikuni Pass is the highest national road in Hokkaido and last weekend I finally got a chance to ride it. I spent 2 days riding the pass and it was excellent. On the first day, which is what this episode is about, I rode up to the pass along route 273 from Kamikawa. The whole experience was much better than I was expecting. The mountains, rivers, and cliffs were spectacular. The Sounkyo gorge was gorgeous and had a couple of things I didn't know where there. Lots of the things I was looking at I just don't think you can really appreciate if you go through there in a car. The bike is where it's at! I hope you enjoy pt.1 of my adventures in Daisetsuzan National Park riding up to the Mikuni Pass. Next week, I'll be talking about my ride back up to the pass from Kamishihoro. As always, I hope you enjoy and find value in this episode.
