In this five-minute report, Kirsty from the global reporting team speaks with Bishawjit Das, a senior producer at BBC Media Action - an Inclusive Futures partner and non-governmental organisation which utilises the power of media and communications to reach people facing insecurity and inequality, with information they can trust.
Bishawjit explains how his organisation has been working with journalists from television, radio, online and print to challenge how their reports talk about people with disabilities. He explains how he challenges them, asking them to analyse if their reports are portraying people with disabilities with dignity.
