Down on his luck in present-day Los Angeles, actor Eric Stoltz — the original Marty McFly — reaches a breaking point after a very bad day. Discovering that his unlikely drinking buddy, Christopher Lloyd, was once given a "time machine" by a super fan, he decides to use it to travel back to 1985, bound and determined to keep his younger self in the box-office smash Back to the Future.
