Description

In the last segment of Season 2 of Juristudents, Tiemo and Aljaz discuss another extensive topic in a two part episode - how the term indigenous peoples is defined by the American Court of Human Rights and the African Court of Human Rights. In this first part, Tiemo and Aljaz will look at how the American court handles the definition, what are the issues with it and how can it be improved. They discover that indigenous rights were created to protect an especially vulnerable group in society; however, for them to work, we need a definition of “indigenous” - this can be very tricky.

Aljaz and Tiemo are both encouraging everyone to get in touch with their definitions.
