Description

Juristudents is back on Spotify and Apple Podcasts! :)
Tiemo and Aljaž continue their expedition in Season 2 by addressing a topic that seems to get attention every now and then in the news, but always seems to die down and the issues continue to occur. Corruption, more specifically, bribery is dominant in business transactions all around the world. Aljaž and Tiemo explore the notion of corruption and why it is so relevant in the international context. They define the curious cultural background of corruption via psychological phenomena, as well as tradition - such as Chinese guanxi. This leads to a general discussion about what is being done to prevent bribery, for example work by the OECD, and why corruption seems to be a flaw in the governing systems that is so difficult to eradicate.
Both are excited and intrigued to hear your opinions on the topic.
