A 15-year firefighter veteran and the special operations hazardous materials team in South Florida, Gary Roberts founded Pure Body Zen, Inc in 2017 as he searched for a way to help get his daughter off opiate dependency. Before he could get a safe and viable source his daughter passed away from an overdose on her 27th birthday. 3 Months later his father passed away and to his surprise he found out that his father was also dependent on opiates which was probably the reason for his passing as well.
As a firefighter helping his brothers and sisters with sleep deprivation, opiate addiction, and PTSD using Hemp-Derived CBD became a calling. He educated himself on all aspects of the Cannabis Plant, its benefits, and how to create a consistently high-quality product and sought out only the best farmers to create Pure Body Zen’s product line.
His goal now is to build his Non-profit Promises Recovery Centers to change the direction that addiction is treated as well as educate locally and nationally other fire departments on the benefits that cannabis and CBD by dispelling the myths through his Good Dudes Grow Podcast.
