With the Top of the 8th inning heroics of Aaron Judge’s 2 Run HR and Giancarlo Stanton’s solo HR off the Guardians closer Emmanuel Classe the Yankees were one out away from being 27 outs away from the 2024 World Series. Then with a runner on second Jhonkensy Noel took Luke Weaver deep to left field to tie it in the bottom of the 9th with the Guardians down to their last strike. As usual Clay Holmes came in and gave up a game winning home run for the Guardians to walk it off in the 10th inning.
