Our second episode is a European special!
Gary speaks about some of our more recent European adventures - ties against Elfsborg and Hertha Berlin in 2008 and Legia Warsaw in 2013. Meanwhile, Dermot looks back at two games from the more distant past - our European debut in the Cup-Winners Cup in 1961 versus Jock Stein’s Dunfermline Athletic, and our first tilt at the European Cup in 1990, a tough tie against Dinamo Bucharest.
Our season-by-season review moves on to 1931/32, our second season in competitive football, with Pat’s taking their place in the AUL Division III. Watch out for one the craziest cup ties in all our history - a thriller against Easons in the Subsidiary Cup - you won’t believe how long it took! We also profile two of the key forwards from that swashbuckling Saints side, Maco Harding and Tom Smith.
