Episode 6 - 2014 Cup Final ten years on, All-Time XI Centre Halves, 1935/36 Season Review
Description
In a bumper Episode 6, we celebrate the tenth anniversary of one of the greatest days in Pat’s history - the 2014 FAI Cup Final (and Brian Kerr’s in tears). We recall the run-up to the final and the day itself and reflect on the lasting legacy of the Christy Fagan Final at the club.
We also consider the many nominations we’ve received for our All-Time Saints XI centre halves. We profile most of these players, from Timber Cummins all the way through to Joe Redmond, and everyone in between - and eventually decide on a group to go to the vote!
We review the Saints’ sixth year in competitive football, the 1935/36 season in AUL Division One, and look at everything from financial difficulties to ice cream horns and referees. Finally, we profile the Cummins family - some of the founders of our club.
