Coach Alex Mirabal
The assistant head coach and offensive line coach at the University of Miami.
Coach Mirabal has spent over three decades building elite offensive units, mentoring future NFL talent, and transforming offenses at every level—from high school fields in Miami-Dade County to national championship contenders at Oregon and now Miami. A lifelong teacher of the game and a close collaborator of head coach Mario Cristobal, Coach Mirabal has built a reputation for elite player development, high-level recruiting, and championship culture-building.
Under his leadership, Miami’s offense ranked #1 nationally in points per game and yards per game in 2024, and helped guide quarterback Cam Ward to the ACC Player of the Year, Davey O’Brien Award, and the #1 pick in the NFL Draft. His offensive lines have repeatedly been recognized among the nation’s best—including multiple Joe Moore Award candidacies, All-ACC honors, and multiple NFL Draft picks.
From rebuilding offensive lines with one career start to coaching Outland Trophy winners like Penei Sewell, Coach Mirabal exemplifies what it means to develop, adapt, and lead. His story is one of relentless grit, cultural pride, and a deep love for the trenches.
