Coach Butch Chaffin is one of the most respected voices in amateur baseball, with nearly 40 years of experience developing players and building programs that last. A longtime head coach at Cookeville High School in Tennessee, Butch has led his teams to over a dozen district and region titles while helping 120+ players continue their careers at the collegiate level.
Beyond high school baseball, Chaffin has become a fixture within USA Baseball, serving on national team staffs at the 12U, 18U, and Collegiate levels—including a gold medal win in 2017. He’s a 2024 Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame inductee and a former scout for the Kansas City Royals. Whether mentoring youth athletes or refining the skills of future MLB Draft picks, Coach Chaffin leads with humility, high standards, and a deep love for the game.
“The game knows—what you put in, it gives back. Do things the right way, and baseball rewards you.” – Butch Chaffin
