Description

Our minds and eyes were opened during our conversation with Seema, an Orofacial Myologist.

Seema comes to the table with a wealth of knowledge and the desire to share how important a clear and healthy airway is for numerous developmental reasons. To name a few, thumb sucking during sleep can be a way to keep the tongue in proper position to keep the airway clear; if babies are snoring, they should be seen by a doctor as it is likely a sign of something being amiss; children who are under-slept can present ADHD symptoms; tongue ties and lip ties are best corrected during infancy but go missed in many cases.

In this episode you will learn about what signs to look for if you, your child, or someone you know could benefit from Orofacial Therapy. Seema also shares what products to stay away from and/or use in order to prevent needing the therapies.

There are many resources available to parents and caregivers in order to help their kids with global development, and as parents we are our child's best advocate. This episode gives you one more tool in your parental toolbox for raising the healthiest and happiest kiddo.
