Episode 4.19 Listening
Description
This minisode is dedicated to the newest episode of the SpokenWeb podcast, which it’s preemptively responding to (that episode will be out on Monday, and I’m going to have to insist that you listen to it). That episode is thinking about how we are listening differently right now, and it prompted me to think for myself: how am I listening differently? Why am I compelled to always have my noise cancelling headphones nearby while also becoming fascinated with identifying the birds outside my window by their song? Why am I burning out on Zoom calls? Why does Fetch the Bolt Cutters feel like the unofficial album of the pandemic? And what is it about Within the Wires that is making it feel like the absolute perfect podcast for me right now?
