This week the gang Mikey and Anders are joined by MLB writer and special guest Pat Ellington Jr. Pat provides his unique perspective on writing about baseball and the proud history of black ballplayers in Cleveland. Anders notes that the Guardians have the youngest roster in the league, even younger than the Mariners and Pat detail on some of their young prospects on the rise. Pat brings a fresh position on what it looks like the Mariners are building from the outside and how impressive the pitching development is in particular. Mikey is surprised to learn that the Guardians have merely 2 players over age 30, giving Cleveland tremendous upside for the future. Anders recounts meeting Steven Kwan and admires his humility on and off the field. Mikey and Pat discuss some of the challenges of navigating the racial barriers getting to and staying in the major leagues.
