Episode 9: Thou Shall Not Suffer in Silence Shattering the Cultural Stigmas Surrounding Fibroids & Menstrual Pain w/ Nkem Osian
Update: 2020-05-07
Description
Welcome to Episode 9! This week I had the pleasure of interviewing women’s health advocate Nkem Osian. During our conversation, we talked about feminine health in which Nkem shared insight about how women of color are suffering in silence from uterine fibroids (a medical condition that causes heavy menstrual bleeding). In addition, Nkem provided great advice of how and why it's important for women of color to speak up and move past the cultural stigmas that comes with having fibroids and fertility.
