On a very special episode of After the Jump, Grace Bonney sits down with podcast hero Anna Sale. Anna Sale is the host and managing editor of Death, Sex & Money, a biweekly interview podcast at WNYC. A veteran public media reporter, Anna covered politics for years, including the 2013 New York City mayoral race, the 2012 presidential campaign, and the statehouse beat in Connecticut and West Virginia. She is a frequent fill-in host for The Brian Lehrer Show and The Leonard Lopate Show and has contributed to This American Life, NPR, Marketplace, PBS Newshour, CNN, MSNBC, BBC, Slate, and NY1. Anna’s work has been honored by the New York Press Club, Capitolbeat, and the Associated Press Broadcasters Associations of New York, Connecticut and West Virginia. She was a Racial Justice Fellow with USC Annenberg’s Institute for Justice and Journalism in 2007. She was also an associate producer of The Great Textbook War, a radio documentary that won a Peabody Award, a national Edward R. Murrow award, and a duPont-Columbia silver baton.
