Description

Opal is a mid 40's professional woman who identifies as a "black-woman and global citizen". She's creative, working as a designer with high-end clientele. However, growing up in a modest home with struggling parents, who were artists, has helped her remain humble and grounded.

In addition to her career, she's a caregiver to her mother, the youngest daughter with 3 siblings, and newly married, with 5 step-kids and no biological children of her own. Her friends group spans across the globe, from various regions of the world, and in every skin-tone, age group, sexual orientation and varied political beliefs.

She considers herself to be spiritual, with a belief in a "common good" and hopes for a "global community", where respect for our varied cultures, races, religions and beliefs can be celebrated vs feared. But she is aware that this is merely hopium and an illusion for what could be in another World.
