Executing a Strategy
Description
Welcome to episode three of The Intrapreneur Podcast. Today, we're going to look at how to execute on a strategy.
If you want to reach out and discuss this further, there's going to be details at the end of the podcast. And I'm here to talk with Stone and Chalk's Scott Williams this time, with Chris Busson. And this time, we're talking about turning a strategy into execution. So welcome, Scott and Chris.
I was thinking about this this morning, in the way that the strategic consultancies... where their reputation is that they just want to work on the strategy. They don't really want to get involved in the messy execution operational bit. I suspect that's a bit unfair. I think they probably do do a bit more than that these days. But nevertheless, it is the messy bit, right? The cool, intellectual bit is the strategy, and it feels like you're kind of moving levers around and that kind of thing.
So there is a sense in which the execution part is the hard work and that getting the strategy straight... yep, big tick... that's what we have to do. But the real work comes when you actually kind of execute. So Chris, why don't we kick off? Can you describe how we do that, how we help organisations to translate their strategy into something that they can actually execute against? How do we do that at Stone and Chalk?
Tune in to hear the answers.
