She is originally from Honolulu, HI, Arianne Yago, moved to Flagstaff, Arizona, to pursue her degree in higher education. Like other first-generation college students, Arianne experienced some hurdles when approaching the higher education environment. After obtaining her degree in Strategic Communication at Northern Arizona University (NAU), she decided to remain in Flagstaff, and work full-time. She currently works as the Communications Analyst for Information Technology Services at Northern Arizona University, and is the reigning Miss Arizona Collegiate United States. Her platform is Connecting Ed: Higher Education for All. With Arianne’s passion to help students believe and achieve in higher academia, Arianne recently opened up her own scholarship for NAU students.
