Jonathan Coe is a British novelist known for his satirical, politically engaged fiction that often captures the zeitgeist of contemporary Britain. His latest novel The Proof of My Innocence has just been translated into German as Der Beweis Meiner Unschuld. It’s a genre-bending novel that explores how Britain’s right-wing politics have become so radicalized. Chris Cummins met Jonathan in Vienna.
