FF: Property and Education Priorities

The Fed has lowered rates a quarter of a percent. Inflation is over 3% from the government's own measurements. Home prices are up, and property taxes are making it impossible for some people to keep their home. We have been working to get signatures to get a constitutional amendment on the Ohio ballot to get rid of property taxes completely. This could keep people in their homes and lower rents.  

"But how will we fund schools?" they say. We talk about some possible options for funding. We also review the terrible results the traditional school system has been getting. We talk about how some money is being wasted by school systems. How much does a teacher here really make per hour? What do administrators make? Is it worth people losing their homes so that schools can continue to get terrible results? Or is it time for zero property taxes and a new system to fund schools based on results?
