Finding Strength in Vulnerability with Bella Canzano
Description
Bella Canzano is a Phoenix-based Peruvian/Italian American artist skilled in singing, songwriting, and illustration. She started her digital art project Abeja Blanca in 2019 to highlight self-love and Latinx identity, and the project has since grown to encompass art activism. Last July, we talked to Bella about what drives her art and music, from the excitement people experience when they see themselves as illustrations to her motivation to make art about issues of identity in the Latinx community as she works to find her place within that community.
