Finding Your Way Out of a Heartbreak
Update: 2021-06-27
Description
"We are not held back by the love we didn't receive in the past, but by the love we're not extending in the present" - Marianne Williamson
Have you ever played that game where you're pulling the petals of a daisy out, and you're thinking, "He/She loves me, he/she loves me not", and whatever petal you end up on, is a prediction of your future love?
When we're children, we believe that it's that easy. However, as we grow up and we experience a number of heartbreaks before we find the one, we come to the realization that there's more to it than the petals of a flower. Everything we experience is there to teach us a lesson, and each heartbreak is a path to self-love, self-growth, self-awareness, and wisdom.
Today, I share with you how you first need to learn to love yourself before you can find your lifetime companion, and why heartbreaks are necessary in our self-development. You will also hear my parents' love story, and how they took their vows, in sickness and in health, seriously.
In this episode, you will learn:
My parents' love story. (01:47 )
What happens when love turns sour. (03:03 )
Love does not equal suffering. (05:33 )
Real love begins with self-love. (06:35 )
