Description

Tune in and go on a journey with Haitian-American siblings, Jean and Esterline, as they share their stories and experience as first generation immigrants in the States. In this episode we discuss individuality vs. collectivism and we talk with our second eldest sister to learn more about her experiences of being the first to leave home for college. The goal of this podcast is to cultivate a community on shared experiences as immigrants and being raised by immigrants while starting dialogue on culture, parenting, and diving deeper on things we are conditioned to accept and act accordingly to in life. Haitian parent saying of the week: Fwekan, ou trop fwekan, w’ap fe fwekan? = Rude!, you're too rude!
