From Cold Calls to Community Impact: Tiffany Ashurian
Description
In this dynamic episode, I sit down with Tiffany Ashurian, Vice President of Leasing and Acquisitions at Ashco Centers Commercial Real Estate, a family office based in Jacksonville, Florida. Tiffany shares how she grew up immersed in commercial real estate, attending her first ICSC conference at the age of four, and watching her immigrant parents build a portfolio of shopping centers that shaped communities across the country.
After graduating from Harvard and earning her MBA from Harvard Business School, Tiffany worked at McKinsey before joining the family business in 2009—right in the midst of the Great Recession. She started from the ground up, cold-calling 100 prospects a day, and has since helped Ashco grow into a regional powerhouse with over 150 tenants and a mission to 10x their portfolio in the next three years.
Tiffany opens up about challenges, including redeveloping a 3,500 SF vacant Wendy’s into a 16,000+ SF award-nominated retail center at St. Johns Town Center. She credits her success to resilience, collaboration, and a fearless mindset.
