From Earthly to Eternal: A Christian's Guide to Being Shrewd
Description
Which is shrewder - to give someone $40 and never see them or that money again, or to save $400 on a nearly-new set of kayaks that will provide you years of usage?
I would contend that the $40 is shrewder because it reflects a mindset that Jesus advocates for in Luke 16 - "I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings."
God has expectations for how we use the possessions he's given us, and yet, even when we fail to meet those expectations, he demonstrates his charity to us by forgiving our sin and using us nonetheless to make an eternal difference in other people's lives.
Listen to this week's installment of Morality Under the Microscope to hear how.
