Gas Prices Dip Below $3, Biggest Relief Since 2021
Update: 2025-12-01
Description
Good news for drivers! The national average gas price has dropped below three dollars a gallon, now at two dollars and eighty-three cents. However, prices vary by state, with Oklahoma at two dollars and forty cents and California at four dollars and fifty-six cents. This is the lowest price since May 2021, a relief for many commuters and travelers. Oil prices are also low, with Brent crude trading at around sixty-three dollars a barrel. Despite this, other energy costs are rising, with electricity and natural gas prices expected to increase through 2026.
