This partnership aims to invest up to $2 million in each startup through Accels Atoms program, with each company contributing up to $1 million.The focus is on founders in India and the Indian diaspora developing AI products from scratch, with the goal of creating AI solutions for Indias vast population and helping Indian-built AI products reach global markets.Indias potential as an AI market is significant, with its large internet and smartphone user base and deep pool of engineering talent. However, the country has not yet produced many AI companies pushing technical boundaries, with most development occurring in the US and China.This partnership comes as major firms like OpenAI and Anthropic open offices in India, and global investors increase their early-stage commitments. The selected founders will receive up to $350,000 in compute credits across Google Cloud, Gemini, and DeepMind, along with early access to Gemini and DeepMind models, APIs, and experimental features, mentorship, and co-development opportunities.
