What are some of the things that people in this world pursue? Obviously, money is one. And there’s honor, success, fame, and popularity. Or simply, pleasure. And behind it all is often the pursuit of happiness. But today, Pastor John shows, in another of Jesus’s upside-down Beatitudes, that happiness doesn’t come from desiring happiness. It comes from desiring holiness. Think of one of the times in your life when you’ve been the most hungry or thirsty. Now, think of hungering and thirsting for God like that!
