Marcela Shine is the CEO of Brightgeist Media, a start-up in online media. She spends her daylight hours focused on building Accidents.com, their flagship site. Right around dawn, after her baby's 6 a.m. bottle, she starts her day by 'mommy blogging', where she funnels her interest in child safety, photography and general parenting issues. Always the juggler, she enjoys trying to bring together her love for parenthood, career and hobbies wherever she can.


Ms. Shine writes for the Accidents.com blog, maintains her mommy blog "Just Like Superheroes" and guest blogs for Jersey Moms Blog. In her spare time she also enjoys supporting women-owned and minority-owned businesses by providing advice and in some cases, pro-bono websites for their causes.
