Description

Surf's up, wave riders! The National Weather Service is sounding the alarm with a high rip current risk across Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands that's gonna last through Monday afternoon. So listen up and stay safe!

Today's looking like a mixed bag with mostly cloudy skies and numerous showers rolling through. Surf heights are averaging around 6 feet, which means some serious wave action for experienced surfers. San Juan, Northeast PR, and the North Central regions are seeing southeast winds around 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Sunday's forecast is heating up with surf heights climbing to 8 to 12 feet - epic conditions for those who know how to handle serious swells! Expect mostly sunny skies with a hazy backdrop and scattered showers. East winds will be picking up to 10-15 miles per hour, creating some serious potential for challenging surf.

Monday and Tuesday are looking like prime surfing days with massive 11-foot waves and mostly sunny conditions. Just remember those east winds will be howling around 15-20 miles per hour, so only advanced surfers should paddle out.

By Wednesday, things calm down with surf heights dropping to 5-7 feet and sunny skies. Winds will ease to around 10-15 miles per hour.

Important safety note: Life-threatening rip currents are likely in the surf zone. Translation? If you're not an experienced surfer, stay on the beach and enjoy the view. For the pros, know your limits, watch those conditions, and surf smart.

Stay stoked and stay safe, wave warriors!
