The reigning MVP put up 70 pts to pass Wilt Chamberlain as the Sixers franchise single-game scoring leader. Philly was all smiles around Embiid's accomplishment. In Minnesota, Karl-Anthony Towns single-game scoring record was not met with the same excitement. The Timberwolves lost 128-125 to the Hornets despite KAT's 44 pts at the first half and a franchise record 62 pts to finish the game. Head Coach Chris Finch ripped his team for becoming preoccupied with Town's quest to put up points. The trade deadline is just over 2 weeks away and another early trade was executed this morning. The Miami Heat received Terry Rozier from the Hornets; In return the Hornets received Kyle Lowry and a lottery-protected 2027 first-round pick.
