Discipleship has been defined and described in many different ways. In this podcast, we'll look at Jesus' relationship with His disciples and Paul's relationship with Pastor Timothy. As you study both models, you'll find similar components of healthy discipleship relationships. Paul was Timothy's spiritual father so he had a place in Timothy's life that was deeper and more influential than most other people. Jesus, of course, had the advantage of actually living with His disciples for over three years. Although the conditions of these examples are rare, they detail points that will help us define and practice some specifics of healthy discipleship.
