There’s so much talk, and rightfully so, about nervous system regulation these days. And let’s face it, all the mindset work in the world doesn’t always get down into our nervous system. How our bodies really feel makes a big difference in our well-being. And one thing I’m here to tell you about is how our homes are impacting our nervous system, and I’ve got some things you can do to help it along.

* Do the body scan – Pick one spot in your home (where you work, eat, or sleep), get still, and scan your body from your feet up. Notice what feels safe, grounded, or tense. This is your body talking.
* Turn and repeat – Face different directions and notice how your energy shifts in each position.
* Name your glimmers – Identify one thing in your space that sparks joy, calm, or expansion.
* Get quiet and listen – Pay attention to the stories your belongings are telling you, especially in the places you spend the most time sitting. Ask yourself: Is this a story I want to embody, or is it part of my past? Notice how these stories may have been influencing your life.
