How to Create Content like a Pro

If you are just starting out to Blogging or maybe you are just adding Blogging to your Marketing, I have a great Episode for you today.  Get your pen and paper ready for some note taking.

I am a huge fan of reading, you probably already know this about me. I have learned so much about myself and business just by reading.  Honestly, as a child I did not read very much which I really regret, I thought watching Soap Opera’s was the thing to do for fun. I don’t even think there are Soap Opera’s anymore, or maybe there are - who knows.  Now, I try to instill in my children to read because readers are leaders. Hopefully, they will thank me one day, not now!

There are a few people I have learned so much from when it comes to creating content. I am going to be referencing them is this Episode many times.  They are Dan Norris, Pat Flynn, Neil Patel, Sarah Morgan, Melyssa Griffin, and Lauren Hooker.

This is definitely a learning Episode today.  I am going to share with you some tips, tricks, and hacks to Content Marketing.  If you are a Blogger then you are a Content Marketer.  If you are a Realtor® or Broker you are also a Content Marketer. If you own a store online or in person, then you are a Content Marketer. If you are an Interior Designer, Business Coach, Health Coach, Baker, then you are a Content Marketer. Why? Because if you want to be heard and seen in this huge Online World, you have to be creating content consistently so that people will learn about your Brand. This is how people find you.  Think about this, when you want to find something or learn something - don’t you go to Google? Or Pinterest? Or You Tube? Of course, you do! Duh

This is a full episode full of Content, so let me break it down for you, so you stay with me the whole time.

We just talked about why you need to create content and you just discovered that you are a Content Marketer! I tell you, it is a great day when you learn something new and when you learn something new about yourself.  So now I am going to be talking to all my Content Marketers listening and reading this Episode. It does not matter what your Business is, you are a Content Marketer.  Ok, we got this.

Now - It is really important to me that we stay focused and keep the flow going so you get this. So I have created a Worksheet for you about Creating Content for your Blog and I created a Downloadable PDF for you. It is a Worksheet for you to keep near your when you are writing.  So previously, I said to get a pen and paper out and yes, I think you should be if you can’t, no worries I created this Worksheet for you.

Creating Content for a Community

Dan Norris wrote an amazing book called Content Machine and he talks about defining who you are creating content for, by choosing a community and helping them with what they need. He feels this is a better way than writing for a specific Customer Avatar which is what I was taught. His approach makes much more sense. As you know, I am a Branding Stylist and I work with all types of different business' so I can’t just write to one Avatar, I need to focus on writing for all of you!

He says it very well, “What is your vision? What place do fill in your market? What do you want people to think of when they think of your brand? What do you believe people want that they aren’t currently getting? Dan Norris

Now you know, you can write to your community and not get stuck on just one person/avatar!

Second -

Headlines

Neil Patel was on Pat Flynn’s Smart Passive Income Podcast Session #214. He dropped some value bombs, so make sure to listen to that Podcast as well. What I want to talk to you about is how to come up with Headlines.  I think honestly, this was the hardest thing for me to come up with at first. I promise you after you do a few this will become much easier but here is what Neil sugges...
