Welcome to the first episode of Jpenacademy. In this episode (and what follows), I will be using a combination of English, Japanese, and Korean to teach English. But in so doing, I will attempt to open up your horizon to what is possible through language and communication. Whether you just started on this journey or have been walking for a while towards English fluency, I hope you can find encouragement through this podcast to keep going! 

For this episode, we’ll start with greetings. Saying "hello" is the first step in communication. Go beyond the formal ways to say "hi," and dive into freer expressions. In this episode, I will teach you various greetings beyond what the textbooks say and will encourage you to come up with your own unique greetings in English.
