Tips and Notes to walking tour in Banska Bystrica:
(Best day to visit? Weekdays before the noon or Saturday mornings. Sundays are quiet, many shops are closed. Don't be surprised running into locals who like strolling up and down the square on Sundays. And remember, many museums are close on Mondays.)
(Language: Most signs are in Slovak, but museums offer English and German descriptions.)
(Restrooms and ATMs: Available inside Europa Shopping Center and near or on the square.)
4. Suveníry: Hľadajte knihy, ručne vyrobené remeselné výrobky alebo medené predmety – pripomienka baníckej histórie mesta. (Souvenirs: Look for books, handmade crafts, or copper items — a nod to the city’s mining history.)
