Matthew Marrero is desperately seeking the release of his husband, Allan Dabrio Marrero, who has been detained by ICE for over two weeks. Allan, a Cayman Islands native with no criminal history, was detained during a routine green card interview in November. He is currently held at Delaney Hall ICE Detention Center in Newark, New Jersey, facing removal due to a supposed missed hearing. Matthew and Allans attorney, Alexandria Rizio, have filed a motion to reopen the case, with support from their church community, city council members, and public advocates. The couples journey towards citizenship has been halted, and they are now fighting for Allans release and green card.
