Over the course of 5 weeks John endures ransom negotiations and even attempts to escape as the camp in the wilderness. Charlene is spending time watching a movie with her husband and two sons when a couple, looking to buy a ring they were selling online, stops by. The sale, however, was a ruse as the couple instead hold the family at gunpoint and bring in two more armed assailants to rob the home.
