Description

In this episode, we had the amazing opportunity to have a panel with Lizbeth Ramales, a fellow FTG student and Sociology and Chicanx/Latinx double major, and Marissa Montes, Director, and Founder of Loyola Law School’s Immigrant Justice Clinic. She built the Loyola Immigrant Justice Clinic in response to an unmet need for free immigration legal services on the Eastside of Los Angeles. She also teaches courses on Cross-Cultural Competency and Trauma-Informed Lawyering which brings law students to El Paso, Texas, during spring break to provide pro bono counsel to immigrants facing removal. In this episode, we'll discuss the current immigration policies that are incoming as well as provide advice for students who are undocumented. We hope this episode inspires other students to continue researching immigration policies and share information with college students who may be undocumented. Tune in to our next episode!
