This weekend we continued our series on Ephesians by exploring what it means to be "in Christ." One of big themes of the book is unity. God's plan is "for the fullness of time to unite all things in him—things in heaven and things on earth." If we are "in Christ," God will take our fractured, fragmented lives and bring wholeness and unity to the various strands. God has made provision to invite us into his family through adoption, redemption, forgiveness, and holiness. When we reverse the order and simply invite Jesus into "our" world, we miss the bigger point that God is inviting us into his world. We explored these ideas.
