Description
Geronimo Redstone is the pen name adopted for fiction releases by a two-time award-winning urban policy advocate, an accomplished public speaker, and a self-described multiculturalist. In his debut novel and three-part tale, The Bachelor Scrolls, Redstone maneuvers the imagination with lyric writing that walks the line between the old and the new: Gothic fiction and urban fantasy. His narrative style is inspired by classics of Western epic such as Dante’s Divine Comedy and Milton’s Paradise Lost. However, he re-invents the epic as a modern genre by blending themes of urban decay with a passion for ancient Egypt informed by years of research—as well as visits to temple sites and tombs along the Nile. It was at Boston University, his undergraduate alma mater, that Redstone’s literary interests were originally formed as a member of a creative writers’ collective. It was also there that he first became interested in the linkages between Egyptian and Western civilizations.
