Sarita Austin is the Artistic Director of of PureFlow Theatreworks, which produces innovative programming for young audiences and professionals. PureFlow offers interactive theatre, storytelling, and training for children and conducts workshops for young adults, college students, and professionals in innovative teaching, improv, performance, self-discovery, and public speaking. Sarita is dedicated to developing professionals whose work is to support children in empowering themselves. For nearly two decades, Sarita has worked as a lecturer, educator, workshop facilitator, counselor, staff developer, therapist, mentor, and researcher with children, adolescents, educators, and other professionals in school, university, and community settings. She is an multidimensional artist who uses storytelling as her primary creative tool. She has written, directed, and produced compelling interactive plays for cutting edge theatre collectives including PureFlow and Yale Children’s Theatre.
