Jerry Thomas is known as the Father of Mixology, The Professor, a true "Jack of All Trades".  Even if he had never entered into the bartending industry, he would have lead an extraordinary life. Thankfully for us, he did. With that, he not only gave us some of the most popular cocktails known today but changed the game behind the bar.
