At the beginning of the pandemic, service workers were some of the hardest hit. Losing their ability to safely serve patrons, their livelihoods immediately went into question. The United States Bartending Guild (USBG) partnered with several well-known brands to raise money for service workers struggling. This week we talk with Tracy Gomez, a former board member of the USBG in Washington State and Utah. We discuss everything from diversity disparities behind the bar and the devastation the pandemic wrought on the industry and how the USBG is trying to help.
