The Black Lagoon manga is returning to production after another long hiatus and we finally know a little more about what’s going on behind the scenes.

Creator Hiroe Rei recently opened up to Comic Natalie on the struggles he’s had with his mental health over the past 15 years. That struggle resulted in the manga going on hiatus after hiatus.

With the upcoming return likely being another limited run before a break, we decided it’s a great time to discuss the series and its background. And also ask the question: Is the outro sequence ripping off Twin Peaks???
