Description

Join Frank, Brad, Iakona & Nancy (Jenn investigated this location on a different night) as they experience the strange and paranormal events of the famous "Kansas State Penn".

Located in Lansing Kansas that dates back to the mid 19th century. The Kansas Constitution authorized the prison in 1859. The land was purchased in 1861, and construction began in 1864, using prison labor. Despite delays due to the Civil War, the main building was completed in 1867, and the facility began accepting prisoners in July 1868.

The prison housed numerous infamous individuals, including figures like Emmet Dalton (of the Dalton Gang), Perry Smith and Richard Hickok (Subject in "Cold Blood"), and Harvey Bailey (cohort of Machine Gun Kelly). The prison experienced it's share of riots, escapes, including a notable one in 1933 during a baseball game where Wilbur Undersell kidnapped the warden. Iconic musicians like Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash performed at the facility in the early 1970's.

The Lansing Prison stands as a significant historical landmark and has deep roots of haunted and paranormal activity. Our team experienced EVP's and an entity with enough energy to touch lift Brad's hat off of his and thrown to the ground! It was one of our more intense & wild investigation's.
