Kathy Kanjo, former director of the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, is the new director of UC Irvines Langson Orange County Museum of Art. This appointment comes ahead of schedule, following UC Irvines acquisition of the Orange County Museum of Art in a merger. Kanjo is responsible for a vast collection of over nine thousand artworks, including UC Irvines Gerald Buck Collection. She plans to create engaging exhibitions, foster innovation through cross-disciplinary work, and connect the collection to the campus and wider community.
