When Carousel’s daughter said “Everyone is on Instagram but me,” Carousel thought, “Certainly she’s exaggerating.” She wasn’t. Within an hour she was connected with 100 of her classmates. This led Carousel to realized how vital apps like Instagram have be come to her kids social circles. Then, Dr. Megan Moreno, co-medical director of American Academy of Pediatrics Center of Excellence on Social Media and Youth Mental health, joins us to talk about research on youth and social media and to give current tools for parents.
